At the base: creative diagnostics (hook rate, 3s view rate, hold time, save/share rate). Diagnose with the base, decide with the top. That’s how you stop chasing pretty dashboards and start compounding profit.

Scale Winners Fast, Kill Losers Even Faster

Winners deserve fuel immediately. Scale vertically by increasing budgets in controlled increments (e.g., 20–30% every 24–48 hours once stable), and scale horizontally by porting the same creative into new audiences, lookalikes, and placements. Maintain the winning elements; don’t “improve” them mid-scale.

Establish kill criteria and automate them. If an ad crosses your CPA threshold after a pre-set spend (for example, 1–1.5x target CAC) or shows weak conversion after sufficient clicks, pause it. Use rules to cull losers overnight, rotate fresh variants before fatigue spikes, and safeguard learning on your best performers.

Close the loop. Document each test: hypothesis, setup, results, and the creative insights you learned (“Social proof beats lifestyle visuals for mid-funnel,” “Benefit-led hook outperforms spec-led”). Feed these insights into the next brief so every round starts smarter than the last. That’s how testing stops being a cost center and becomes a competitive flywheel.
